0.28.0 Match Total Exposures and Client Proofing

· Release on GitHub

  • Match Total Exposures. Pick the frame that looks right and give a whole series the same brightness, worked out from each photo’s shutter speed, aperture and ISO (⌥⇧⌘M).
  • Client proofing gallery. File › Create Proofing Gallery makes a small offline website of the selected photos. Clients heart their favourites, add notes and send the list back.
  • Import Client Picks. Paste the client’s list and their favourites get the Purple label, with their notes beside each photo.

0.27.1 Now open source

  • Open source. The full source code is on GitHub under the GPL-3.0 license.
  • New name. DarkLab Studio is now LumaGrader Photo Studio, with the LumaGrader “L” icon. Your catalog, edits and presets carry over.
  • About. Website, source code and license in the About tab.

0.11–0.26 Before the public release

Built and tested on real weddings and events as DarkLab Studio.

  • Library. Card import with renaming and a backup copy, colour labels, collections and virtual copies, People (face grouping), Compare and Survey, auto-rotate for portraits, Delete Photo with Move to Trash or Remove from Catalog.
  • Culling. AI Cull on device (blur, closed eyes, best of each burst), Focus Check with focus peaking and zoom to the sharpest area.
  • Develop. Healing, denoise and lens blur, masks with Select Subject, HDR merge, Auto Tone, Auto Sync, presets and Lightroom-style .xmp import, faster slider and photo switching.
  • Output. Export presets with watermarks, the Print module with ICC paper profiles and soft proof, tethered capture with Canon EOS Utility.
  • Workflow. Command palette (⌘K), catalog backup and restore, the in-app Guide, and the DMG installer.
